Maple Village was founded in 1985 by The Maple Bhuddhist Society with the conviction that buddhism, as it is
taught and practiced according to the tradition of master Thich Nhat Hanh, can bring to all numerous benefits.

The Village is a large wooded domain in the midst of the hilly country of the Eastern Townships, near Bolton-West. To walk the
paths, discovering at each step numerous plants and small beasts, gives birth in us to a feeling of serenity and gratitude towards life in all
its manifestations. Far from the city noise and pollution and from the macadam, our mind recovers its true nature.
heron During a retreat, participants get together in the vast meditation hall on the second floor of the main building. The first floor includes
the dining hall and bathrooms. The basement has been converted into a bunkhouse.
In the numerous woods clearings near by, there is a lot of spaces for camping, as many people prefer sleeping outside in their tent.
Mindfulness frees us from dispersion and permits us to fully live every minute of our life.
